Foundation Program
From 7.5 yrs-old
For young athletes new to athletics, this program is the perfect introduction to all different athletics disciplines of Run, Jump, Throw.
Once they reach 11 years-old, our foundation athletes can then progress to our various development groups (Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws, Endurance).
The club also offers Sportshallsessions over the winter (Oct to March) to any athletes aged 7.5 to 15 yrs-old. Those sessions provide a competition entry point for running, jumping and throwing, and are a springboard into the more traditional forms of track & field. It is a fantastic opportunity for any children to get involved in athletics in a super fun and inclusive way!!

Seniors
From 18 yrs-old
Led by Coach Mike Wilkinson, Wirral AC’s thriving Senior Squad welcomes runners of all abilities. Our track sessions focus on improving speed, pacing, and performance across all distances -from 5K to marathon- in a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment.
